A beautiful 19th Century figure of the Goddess Ceres seated with a Cherub on her lap and holding a Cornucopia overflowing with flora and fauna and mounted on a superb 18th Century Marble Plinth. The figure is made from an unusual material manufactured in France in the third quarter of the 19th Century not unlike Spelter whilst retaining the resilience of lead.
